  • My name is Chasity Rodgers. I am from South Carolina in the United States. I have been married for 14 years and have 5 children (4 boys and a girl). I spend my days teaching online and homeschooling my 5 children.

I realized that I wanted to become a teacher when my third child entered into preschool. I spent most of my time there with him, volunteering in his classroom. From there, I became a substitute teacher. I substituted grades preschool through third grade for 3 years. Later, I began my college journey for my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. I have recently graduated and teach online. I have been teaching online for the past year.

Throughout my journey of college and teaching, I have found my passion and love of teaching. I love teaching young children. I love watching their glowing faces when they reach another milestone in their learning. I believe children should learn through patience from the teacher, being involved in their own learning, and hands on.

I want children to come to my class and feel at home. I want them to feel understood and I want to help meet not just their academic needs but their social and emotional as well.

    Dedicated Early Childhood teacher.
Enthusiastic and passionate about teaching young children.
Believes in hands-on and active learning.
    Patient, caring, and motivated.

  • Hello!

My name is Ms. Bridget. I am a homeschooling mom to four wonderful children. I have been homeschooling them since my oldest started Kindergarten, almost eight years ago. I love being with my family and homeschooling my children. I am a Christian. My faith is very important to me. My favorite part of the day is our family Bible Study. We read and memorize Scriptures together. I also enjoy math. I love working with numbers and seeing the order and patterns in math, especially mental math strategies. I love teaching and helping children learn and grow in all areas of life. I think learning should be a positive experience. I believe that all children have gifts and talents unique to them. I am passionate about helping children to discover what they are good at and helping them to grow in areas of weakness. I love seeing the confidence children gain as they realize what they know and how capable they are. My hope for the classes that I teach, is that students will enjoy learning and using the mental math strategies taught and that they will leave class with a practical new skill that they can immediately put into practice to solve math problems. I look forward to meeting you in the classroom!

    Thank you,
    Ms. Bridget

  • Hi there!
I am currently a maths boffin, experiment craving and nature-loving teacher. I have many passions and some of them, creative. I have worked in different careers because I enjoy meeting all kinds of people and learning new things. I have gained experience as a fine dining waiter as well as a commercial diver. I have a degree in Marine Biology and Ocean and Atmospheric science!

In 2017, I went on two research trips out in the open Ocean, one in the South Atlantic and the other in the Southern Ocean – yes, I have been to Antarctica, it is magnificent!
Now I run my own online tutoring business, where I can help mentor and shape students’ minds to understand and enjoy maths. One thing I love about my lessons is that I can make them funny by using humour and jokes in the lessons, this is always helps to make maths and science fun!

When I am not tutoring, you will find me in the ocean, either surfing, diving or on the beach watching the sunset. Other hobbies of mine include playing guitar at church and cooking, but mostly just eating :P

I hope to see you in one of my classes!

  • Finding help for your child when they are struggling academically or when they want to excel in their studies can be a daunting task. I believe in being able to address students needs by acknowledging their unique differences. I love to work from their interests and incorporate them into my lessons. As a child I was never particularly the best in math, but as a teacher having struggled with this subject as a child has helped in in being able to understand a child that struggles. I am able to see misconceptions as they happen and I can correct them.

  • As a formal student I know that math is a complicated subject for many of us. I know exactly what made me struggle and now that I teach it myself I know what exactly goes through my students' mind. I know what it feels like to be confused but I also know how to help a student understand a mathematical process. Teaching math is my biggest passion because math is everywhere around us and understanding it makes life easier. I will teach math in the simplest possible way to make my students feel welcome and also to make them feel special and capable of mastering any topic. I know that students have the potential to learn anything, it is the teacher's responsibility to discover students' strengths and help them overcome their weaknesses.
