Description
Students will learn the following math concepts covered during the entire year of kindergarten Math to 7th grade depending on learners grade level and preference.
The teacher has extensive teaching experience with students who have difficulty with learning task.
Teacher uses motivation with practical reasons to learn material.
Teacher will set short range and attainable goals for the students
Your child will receive individualized instruction to ensure a thorough understanding of the Math concept(s) he/she is trying to grasp. Whether it is achieving grade-level standards or accelerating to the next-level I can work toward whatever goal you and your child have in mind.
I have extensive materials to teach your child but would be happy to work with the him/her on their homework or any school materials he/she may have if that is your wish.
Prior to your session I ask that parents message me about the Math topic(s) they would like addressed with their child so that I am better prepared for our time together.

Students will work on specific concepts they need to address to develop and enhance their Math skills.
Students will learn by using different methods to help them with areas in math where they are struggling. I will provide students with problem solving concepts and strategies.
My goal is to decrease lack of interest and anxiety in math and instead develop skills and confidence.
Learners are recommended to actively participate in classroom discussion and recommended to do their practice sheets at home. Practice sheets will be provided after class to reinforce learning and students are expected and recommended to do them at home.
The class will be conducted using lectures, slides, video clips, and discussion.

I am a CA Licensed teacher and have been a teacher in brick and mortar for more than 3 decades. I have taught online for more than 5 years- ESL, MATH and SCIENCE. I have earned my Master’s Degree in Business Administration major in Finance, earned my Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education major in English, earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, AB Communication Management and Biology. I have taught Math/ Science/ ESL to learners in the USA, Canada, Australia, UK and Asia. I also taught ESL to both young learners and adults in China, Korea and Japan. I also know American Sign Language and have also taught beginners piano lessons as well. Math and Science are my passion.I follow the CA standard Curriculum/ Core Concept/ Kumon for Math and the Next Generation Science Standards for Science. I currently offer a full curriculum, semestral classes, multi-day and ongoing classes in Math for Kindergarten to Algebra and Science for First Grade to Third Grade. I also offer private one on one Math tutorials. I believe that "Effective teaching is important because teaching is based on helping children progress from one level to another in a more sociable interactive environment and to get the approach right to get students to be independent learners."
